Marsden Preservation Ltd are an established preservation company and have grown to become one of the largest independent specialists in the North of England. Last year we dealt with over 1,800 enquiries, of which 90% were recommendations by previous customers. This we believe speaks for itself. Our list of clients is impressive ranging from major housing associations, Local Authorities and Government bodies right through to individual homeowners. Our name have become synonymous with reliability.

GPT - Guarantee Protection Trust
The GPT offers insurance for damp and timber guarantees if a BWPDA member goes out of business. BWPDA members, as necessary in the tough criteria for membership, have been in business for many years, but this still does not make them immune from business failure in times of recession. Members can offer their clients long term insurance for their guarantee on payment of a once-only premium. If that member than goes out of business, rather than the guarantee becoming worthless, the GPT insurance would cover any necessary work if a problem arises.

History
Neil Marsden formed Marsden Preservation in 1985, and for the first 7 years, traded as a sole trader. In 1992, Jim Millar became a Partner, having spent 6 years at the company after being taken on as Neil's first employee. The company traded as a partnership until 1998 at which time the company incorporated. In 2003 all surveyors of Marsden Preservation became CSRT qualified allowing the company to achieve BWPDA membership. Neil Marsden pictured in newspaper over a decade ago, commended for finding money on a job and handing it in.

Policy
Out growth has been achieved by providing a reliable, honest and quality service to our customers. Our Client base has been maintained over many years, covering both commercial and domestic markets. Our clients range from local authorities, architects, construction companies, surveyors and housing associations through to domestic clients i.e. homeowners.

Sales are predominantly to repeat clients among whom we have an excellent reputation for providing a 1st class service. More than 90% of our enquiries are generated by recommendations from pervious clients. This is proof of our commitment to our customers and also our business philosophy.

Experience:
All work is undertaken by Marsden Preservation's directly employed labour force of highly qualified technicians, plasterers, carpenters etc. All of our operatives undergo regular training programmes to ensure that they are aware of procedures and latest product development.

Out surveyors are also vastly experienced in the remedial industry and will give honest opinion on the condition of the property. The surveyors are qualified to the highest level and have attained the C.S.R.T. qualification which enables us to provide an accurate diagnosis of problems encountered.

Contracts are personally supervised by our surveyors to ensure high standards of workmanship and to ensure client satisfaction.
